Who’s doesn’t like a good game of tag? Virtual, bloggy tag is great for me since I’d rather sit down to do things, rather than exert myself too much. This kind of tag is also more gentle, as I’ve noticed that my son and his friends play a very aggressive version of tag.
I was tagged by the lovely Coffee Lovin’ Mom in this particular game and am ready to play and tag more peeps! I’ve been in kind of a writing rut lately, so this seems like just the thing to get me going!
Before we get to the questions and the tagged, here are the rules:
- You must post these rules.
- Each person must post 11 things about herself on their blog.
- Answer the questions the “tagger” listed for you in her post, and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
- Choose 11 people to tag and link to them in the post.
- Let each blogger know that you have tagged them.
My 11 Things:
- I LOVE, LOVE TV! The invention of the DVR is my enabler.
- I’m never caught up with the laundry (are any of you?).
- I have a goal to lose 50 pounds (I’ve lost 5 so far).
- I am, and have always been a total procrastinator.
- I probably have more shoes and purses than I’ll ever need.
- My favorite of my kids’ shows are Phineas & Ferb and Good Luck, Charlie.
- I’ve always liked my smile and my eyes.
- I would love to go back to school, to work on my doctorate. I love being in school!
- My favorite all-time movie is Gone With the Wind, starring my favorite actor, Clark Gable.
- I’m a Fanilow! I’ve been a Barry Manilow fan for…(gulp) a long time.
- I still don’t feel like a grown-up a lot of the time.
The 11 Questions I Answered:
1. Which room do you spend the most time in? Probably the kitchen. We eat there, do homework there, hang out there, my laptop is there. It’s the center of things, figuratively and geographically.
2. How big is the closet in your bedroom? It’s actually a decent size, yet doesn’t seem big enough. My organizational system could probably be better.
3. Have you ever locked yourself out of the house/car? Do tell. I locked myself out of my first apartment once. It was on the second floor of a house. I got a ladder from the garage, climbed up onto the part of the roof, and somehow opened the bathroom window.
4. How many pair of shoes do you own? Hmm. Counting boots, sneakers and sandals, about 45 pairs.
5. What was your first job? My first job was at a mom & pop ice cream and sandwich shop. It had a manual cash register, which quickly taught me how to count back change. This is a skill lost on the current crop of young workers.
6. Who was on your bedroom walls growing up? Let’s see. Shaun Cassidy, David Cassidy, Erik Estrada, Barry Manilow, Leif Garrett, Charlie Angels. I wonder who I’m forgetting…
7. How do you take your coffee? I start out taking it with a flavored creamer, then slowly add more coffee, heading toward black.
8. Did you buy your first car? What was it? My first car had been my grandpa’s. It was a big maroon boat, 1978 Buick LeSabre. It had AM radio, a front bench seat and I had to sit on a (matching maroon) pillow to see over the steering wheel. I named it Gus.
9. What is your favorite adult beverage? Share your recipe. I like good wine and good beer.
10. Which record albums do you remember from your childhood? Barry Manilow, Shaun Cassidy, Partridge Family, Rex Smith (who remembers him?)
11. How did you get where you are today? I’m honestly not sure.
Who Am I Tagging?
