Today’s task in the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge is to promote a specific blog post. Choosing one to promote was not easy. Not because I have so many totally awesome posts. I’m not sure how many of them are that link-worthy. The one I chose is called An On Demand World. I chose this one because I think all parents can relate to how their kids expect immediate gratification…for everything! I blame cable TV.
So far, I put a link to my post on Twitter, re-published it on Facebook, and invited more Facebook friends to follow my blog and put a link to the post in this article (click on An On Demand World above). I even sent out an email to a bunch of people linking them to this post in hopes that they’ll explore and follow the entire blog.

Your blog is wonderful! Remember when 40 seemed so old? I turned 45 this summer and can’t believe it! I don’t feel that “old!” I am following you…thanks for following me! I love getting followers. I feel that I have to step things up.

I know it is hard to promote your blog. I try to do a little every day. But I know that promoting it is what you need to do to gain readers and followers – it works! I have watched mine grow over the past couple of months. All that time and energy that I put into it, really pays off.
